What Is Harit Ekam?
Harit Ekam is a micro-forest restoration initiative that enables individuals and institutions to support the lifelong protection and restoration of forests, one square metre at a time. The program focuses on assisted natural regeneration, native species recovery, and permanent ecological protection.

Harit Ekam is an initiative of Kanak Krishna Srivastava Social Welfare Trust, www.kksswt.org, implemented under its environmental and digital outreach platform Aranya.TV.
FOR WHOM?
WHO OWNS THE LAND?
The land is purchased and owned by Kanak Krishna Srivastava Social Welfare Trust (KKSSWT) and is irrevocably dedicated to forest restoration and conservation for life.

What Do You Pay?
₹625 only (one-time contribution for 1 sq. metre Forest Restoration Unit – FRU)

FIRST PROJECT LOCATION.
This is completely voluntary program and FRU issued cannot be used for any statuary obligation under Forest Conservation Act and Environmental Protection Act Credits issued only represent voluntary action to restore 1 square meter of forests and impacts thereof May be used for CSR and ESG reporting This is not a scheme to transfer ownership of land in any form and only limited to transfer of undivided impact accrued from one square meter of restored forests all along with any other credits like Carbon Biodiversity and Green Credits if any in future.

By restoring ecosystems, we ensure that nature and local communities coexist harmoniously, creating lasting environmental and economic benefits
In our, "Harit Ekam Belgavi" , land acquisition is complete. Restoration landscape is an enclosure in ecologically important Bhimgardh Sanctuary. Restoration activites being seasonal has been planned accordingly. Certificate for a Forest Restoration Unit is issued once a restored area attains 40% canopy cover and is visibly verifiable from a satellite image.
